Welcome to Hillside Acres! It is owned and operated by part of the Hufford family- Brent & Gina, Caleb & Bethany, and Reuben & Megan. We began this new adventure together and opened in the fall of 2018. Hillside Acres is at the same location as the former Skiles Farm Market just outside of Rossville on 600 West and only 20 minutes from Lafayette. Come out and enjoy making memories this fall! We have several special events planned this year. The opening day of our 2020 fall season is August 29th. Thank you for supporting our family owned business.
Pumpkin Patch– Pick several different kinds of pumpkins and gourds from our patch for your fall décor.
Timber Town– Fun activity area for kids and adults
Corn Maze– 7 acre corn maze with a game
Sunflower Trail- We have started to open every year with a sunflower trail! Enjoy two weeks or so (depending on weather) of this bright sunflower field. Admission required and includes 1 cut sunflower. Additional u-pick flowers are $1/stem.
Apples– We have several different varieties of apple trees: Mollie Delicious, Cortland, Gala, Mutsu, McIntosh, & Honeycrisp. We also offer other varieties of fresh apples in the market from local Indiana orchards such as Ginger Gold, Jonagold, Jonathon, Golden Delicious, EverCrisp, Granny Smith, & Pink Lady. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram or give us a call to see what’s available in the market or available to u-pick.
2020- We planted 140 new apple trees! Fuji, Blondee, & more Honeycrisp trees. These are on a dwarfing rootstock and will start producing within 2-3 years.
Country Market- Step inside for our famous apple cider or peach slushies, local honey, homemade apple dumplings, or take home a gallon of fresh cider. We’ve also added more fall items in the market such as pure maple syrup, Amish Country popcorn, Dillman jams, Albanese gummies, Antique Candle Co candles, creamy caramel apple dip & much more.
Admission Booth- New this year is our admission booth outside to cut down on wait times inside the market. Pay for your admission into the farm and get your admission wristband!
